Why am I still typing in bank transactions?
Connect your NZ bank accounts through Akahu and new transactions come into Wrightly every day. Each one arrives with a suggested category. You look them over and approve them, and only then do they count in your books.
$29/mo + GST. Cancel any time.

Pick the accounts and where to start
You sign in with your bank through Akahu, not through us. Then choose which accounts to bring in and where the import starts, so it picks up after your last statement.
- ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, Westpac and more
- Read-only access that you can end any time
- Nothing imports until you finish the set-up
Westpac
Connected through Akahu. Read only.

Which receipt goes with which payment?
Upload a receipt and Wrightly finds the bank transaction it belongs to. The claim has its evidence, and you are not left matching them up at the end of the year.
- Reads the shop, date, total and GST
- Matched to the transaction from your feed
- Claims with no receipt are flagged before you file

What can the feed see and do?
You approve every line
New transactions wait for your ok with a suggested category. Until you approve them they stay out of your reports and your GST.
No double-ups
A transaction that looks like one already in your books is held for you to check instead of being added again.
Can it move my money?
Wrightly reads your account details and transactions. It cannot see your banking login and it cannot make payments.
How do I turn it off?
Disconnect in Wrightly, in your banking app or at my.akahu.nz. Transactions already in your books stay there.
Bank feed questions
Which banks can I connect?
You can connect ANZ, ASB, BNZ, Kiwibank, Westpac and more through open banking (Akahu). Bank feeds are part of Wrightly Plus. Access is read only, and you can disconnect any time.
Can Wrightly see my banking password or move money?
No. You sign in with your bank through Akahu, and your login never reaches Wrightly. The access is read only, so Wrightly cannot make a payment or change anything at your bank.
Do new transactions go straight into my books?
No. Each one comes in with a suggested category from your own list and waits for you. It counts in your reports and your GST once you approve it. You can approve a whole batch at once.
I already brought in bank statements. Will I get doubles?
When you set up the feed, choose to start after your last imported transaction. A transaction that still looks like one you already have is held for you to check, not added twice.
What happens if I disconnect?
New transactions stop coming in. The ones already in your books stay there, because they are your business records. You can disconnect in Wrightly or at my.akahu.nz.
Is there a bank feed on the free plan?
No. Bank feeds are part of Wrightly Plus. On the free plan you enter and code your transactions yourself.
